Pleased is an adults-only (18+) dating service. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out the standards we hold ourselves to, how we respond to CSAE, and how to reach us. It complies with Google Play's child safety standards policy for social and dating apps.
1. Zero tolerance
The following are strictly prohibited on Pleased and result in immediate removal and a permanent ban:
- Any child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form.
- Any sexualisation of a minor, or content that depicts, encourages, or facilitates the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor.
- Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to contact, meet, or sexualise a minor.
- Use of the service by anyone under 18, or any attempt to present a minor as an adult.
2. Adults-only enforcement
- Pleased is available only to people aged 18 and over. Every member must confirm they are at least 18 and provide a date of birth during sign-up; accounts that do not meet the age requirement are not permitted.
- We act on any credible indication that an account belongs to, or depicts, a minor, including removing the account and preserving and reporting evidence where the law requires it.
3. Reporting concerns
- Every member can report and block any other member or piece of content they encounter — from the deck, matches, messages, or a profile — directly in the app.
- Reports that raise a child-safety concern are prioritised for review.
- You can also reach our safety team through the in-app Safety Center, or by email at the address in Section 5.
4. Our response and legal reporting
- When we identify apparent CSAM, we remove it, permanently ban the responsible account, and preserve the content and associated evidence in a restricted, access-controlled location for the period required by law.
- Pleased is operated by Debuggex Inc., a Canadian company based in Ontario. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (Cybertip.ca), the organisation designated under Canada's An Act respecting the mandatory reporting of Internet child pornography by persons who provide an Internet service (S.C. 2011, c. 4), and we notify the police force of competent jurisdiction, as that Act requires.
- Where a report concerns a member in the United States, we additionally file a report with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline. We cooperate with law enforcement in every jurisdiction in which we operate.
- Access to any confirmed or suspected CSAM within our tooling is strictly minimised and logged, and handled only by designated personnel.
5. Point of contact
Questions about our child-safety practices and compliance can be directed to our designated point of contact:
